← Back to Login
Getting Started
Q: How do I log in?
Enter the username and password provided by your administrator. If you haven't received your credentials, please contact your ship manager or IT department.
Q: Why am I logged out automatically?
For security purposes, your session will automatically expire after a period of inactivity. Additionally, only one device can be logged in at a time per account. If someone logs in elsewhere, your current session will be terminated.
Q: Can I use this on multiple devices?
Each account can only be active on one device at a time. This is a security feature to prevent unauthorized access. If you log in from a new device, the previous session will be automatically disconnected.
📝 Recording Rest Hours
Q: How do I record rest and work hours?
Click on the time grid cells to toggle between:
  • White (Rest) - Crew member is resting
  • Blue (Work) - Crew member is working
  • Orange (Fixed) - Locked time that cannot be changed by drag operations
You can click and drag across multiple cells for faster entry.
Q: What do the red highlights mean?
Red highlights indicate MLC 2006 compliance violations. The system automatically checks for:
  • Minimum 10 hours rest in any 24-hour period
  • Minimum 77 hours rest in any 7-day period
  • Rest split into no more than 2 periods
  • One rest period of at least 6 consecutive hours
  • Maximum 14 hours between rest periods
Q: How do I fix a violation?
Review the highlighted cell and adjust the rest/work pattern to meet MLC requirements. The system will automatically revalidate when you make changes. Hover over violation indicators for specific details about what rule was broken.
🇦🇺 AMSA & Australian-flagged Vessels
Q: What is 6-on/6-off?
6-on/6-off is a watch pattern where crew work 6 hours, then rest 6 hours, repeating around the clock. It is common on Australian-flagged vessels and is emphasized by AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority). The pattern fits within MLC 2006 limits (max 14h work, min 10h rest per 24h) when properly structured.
Q: Does this apply to AU-flagged vessels?
Yes. AMSA focuses on 6-on/6-off for AU-flagged vessels. The system applies MLC 2006 compliance checks to all vessels; AU operators should ensure schedules align with 6-on/6-off where practical. Use the violation navigator and rest-hour checks to verify compliance.
👥 Crew Management
Q: How do I add a new crew member?
Navigate to the Crew page and click "Add Crew Member". Fill in the required information including name, rank, and watchkeeping status. The system will automatically create their timesheet records.
Q: How do I remove a crew member?
Crew members are soft-deleted to preserve historical data. Go to the Crew page, find the crew member, and click the delete option. Their records will be archived but can be restored if needed.
🔒 Security & Privacy
Q: Is my data secure?
Yes. Your data is:
  • Encrypted in transit using HTTPS
  • Stored securely in isolated tenant databases
  • Protected by rate limiting to prevent abuse
  • Accessible only with valid authentication
Each company's data is completely isolated from others.
Q: What is rate limiting?
Rate limiting is a security feature that restricts how many requests can be made in a given time period. This protects against:
  • Password guessing attacks
  • Automated abuse
  • System overload
Normal usage will never be affected.
Q: Who can see my data?
Only authorized users with your company's credentials can access your data. The system administrator may access data for support purposes when requested. Your data is never shared with third parties.
Q: What is the Audit Log?
In Settings → Audit Log, you can view recent timesheet edits: who saved or deleted records, and when. This supports compliance audits and cross-reference with logbooks.
